Stacey Maree is an Australian self-taught artist from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Mostly known for her dreamy wonderlands full of teacups, curious creatures and wildwoods of foliage. She creates whimsical worlds that explore delicate forms of flora and fauna, with concepts that converge with the beauty of nature and growth over time.
Focusing primarily in illustrations with the use of traditional mediums, her works are comprised in fine lines and intricate detail rendered in a palette of earthy tones. Stacey has been featured in many publications and was interviewed for the US magazine ‘In Her Studio’ spring issue 2019. She has showcased works in multiple exhibitions and galleries throughout Queensland and Victoria, with works privately collected across Australia, US, UK and Ireland.
Exhibitions include ‘Fifty Squared’, ‘Contemporary Localised Survey’ and ‘Small Works 2017’ at Brunswick Street Gallery, ‘Winter Days’ at Off the Kerb Gallery Collingwood, ‘Uprising’ and ‘Fixate’ at Melbourne Pavilion. She is represented by RAW Natural Born Artists and was selected as a directors highlight featured artist at the ‘National RAWards Australia’. Stacey was also selected for the ‘Creative Generation’ exhibition that launched at the GOMA Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, to then tour onto regional galleries throughout Queensland for two years.
Passionate about the environment and conservation, she donates a percentage of profits to charity. Supporting bee conservation and reforestation through her art prints. Stacey aims to create a beautiful range of products in the form of greeting cards, handmade stationary, wrapping paper and archival art prints, that are available online and ships worldwide.
