About

Stacey Maree is an Australian self-taught artist, most known for her dreamy wonderlands full of teacups, curious creatures and wild woods of foliage. She creates whimsical worlds that explore delicate forms of flora and fauna, focusing on the beauty of nature and growth over time.

Primarily using traditional mediums of graphite, inks, watercolour and acrylic paint, her works are comprised in fine lines and intricate detail rendered in a palette of natural earthy tones. Artworks are most influenced by nature, foliage, victoriana, woodland creatures, daydreams and fairytales.

Stacey Maree has showcased works in multiple exhibitions and group shows. She is represented by RAW Natural Born Artists, showcasing works in the Generation Exhibition and was selected as a directors highlight featured artist at the National RAWards Australia 2014. Stacey was also selected for the Creative Generation exhibition that launched at the GOMA Gallery of Modern Art, to then tour onto regional galleries throughout Queensland for two years.

She has been involved in many group exhibitions including Contemporary Localised Survey and Small Works 2017 at Brunswick Street Gallery, Uprising at Melbourne Pavilion, as well as Art & Style Events, Shape of Things to Come and Interwoven in Brisbane. Stacey has donated works to Cord Fundraiser in the Art for Spine charity auction for spinal injury, and has had works privately collected across Australia, US, UK and Ireland.
